A talk on 150 years of the London Underground will be the topic of discussion at the next Hounslow history society meet-up.

It will be an illustrative lecture held by David Clarke, a friend of the London Transport Museum, who will provide an insight into the beginning of the tube and its progress in to date.

During the evening's talk people will be taken back to the inclusion of Amersham on the Metropolitan line and the opening of the Piccadilly line 's extension to Hatton Cross in 1977.

The Hounslow and district history society meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 28, at the United Reform church hall, Chapel Road, Hounslow, at 7.45pm.

Everyone is welcome.
