A brother and sister have landed parts in a London stage production of The Railway Children.

Fran and Max Moorhouse, from Fulham, are part of four teams of youngsters who will alternate in the show, playing several parts in the children’s ensemble and are performing with comedian and actor Sean Hughes as Mr Perks and actress Caroline Harker as Mother.

It is the first stage roles for Fran, 12, and Max, nine. Fran is a Putney High School pupil who attends drama classes at Amanda Redman’s Artists Theatre School (ATS) in Ealing, while Max goes to Little Voices in Fulham, and attends Fulham Prep School.

The Railway Children opened at the King’s Cross Theatre to critical and public acclaim on January 14 this year.

The production is in support of the Railway Children Charity that aims to help homeless and runaway children throughout the world, with £1 per ticket donated to the charity.
