An art group which met in Chelsea is putting on a special display which pays tribute to a group of eminent female leaders from the area.
Paintings by The Lots Road Group form Portrayed: 25 years of Inspiring Women - an exhibition at The Chelsea Gallery in Kings Road to commemorate the first quarter-century of International Women’s Forum UK.
The two-week exhibition began on Tuesday (May 26) and features oils or prints of the forum’s founders and chairpersons.
Paintings include those of co-founders Mary Baker, from Kensington; Rosalind Gilmore, from Bayswater; former chairpersons Pam Garside, from West Kensington, and Mei Sim Lai OBE, from Notting Hill; and Westminster woman Barbara Hosking, a former speech writer for Harold Wilson.
The Lots Road Group formed in 2013 and comprises figurative artists who met while studying portraiture at The Heatherley School of Fine Art in Chelsea.
The exhibition runs until June 7 and is open daily.
