Harrow I 32 Uxbridge II 17

Uxbridge seconds took plenty of positives out of their game at Harrow despite succumbing 32-17 in the end.

The visitors led 17-15 at half-time following tries by Simon Batts, Grant

Weisinger and Steven Partridge, making light of the absence of veteran second row Gerry James who was injured in the warm-up which meant the side had to be adjusted.

After the break Harrow made several substitutions, bringing on their big guns to turn the game in their favour, although they only sealed victory in the 80th minute with their sixth try of the day.

Uxbridge were slightly aggrieved at Harrow ruining the game as a contest with those changes, especially since they did not field too many of their best players when their own first team match was cancelled.

On Saturday Uxbridge face higher league opposition Kilburn in another friendly and the seconds take on Bulldog. [25a0] They welcome new players - see www.uxbridgerfc.co.uk  for information on the club.
