Denny Solomona, who is due to fly into the UK tomorrow morning, has been included in the London Broncos 19-man squad to face Warrington Wolves at The Hive on Sunday, writes David Lawrenson.

The New Zealand three-quarter, who was previously with Melbourne Storm, was signed at the beginning of the year but has been waiting for his visa application to be processed.

But that has now come through and Broncos head coach Tony Rea said the 20-year-old’s enthusiasm and desire to be with the club prompted the decision to name him in the squad.

“He’s been champing at the bit for a long time,” said Rea. “He wanted to be playing with the boys and we’ve responded to that. We’ll check him out tomorrow in the run and see how he is, but it’s fantastic that he wants to be out on The Hive playing.”

The Broncos picked up a number of injuries in their defeat at Bradford which has meant several changes to the squad. Full-back Nesiasi Mataitonga and three-quarter James Duckworth both suffered hamstring injuries and are likely to be out for up to six weeks.

Prop James Greenwood has a knee problem and looks to be sidelined for a fortnight while Will Lovell could be out for up to 10 weeks after snapping ankle ligaments in training.

James Woodburn-Hall is still suffering from a dead leg but could be back within the next week or so while Joel Wicks looks to be out for a month with a hamstring injury.

Mason Caton-Brown and skipper Matt Cook both took heavy knocks at the weekend but both have been included alongside Jon Wallace who returns to the squad

Mikey Bishay, who didn’t make the 17 at Bradford, is again included for consideration at half back while full-back Iliess Macani, who has yet to make a Super League appearance this season, makes the squad.

The squad is Jordan Atkins, Michael Bishay, Mason Caton–Brown, Matthew Cook, James Cunningham, Joshua Drinkwater, Ben Farrar, Carl Forster, Alex Foster, George Griffin, Olsi Krasniqi, Iliess Macani, Michael Mcmeeken, Thomas Minns, Scott Moore, Jamie O’Callaghan, Nick Slyney, Denny Solomona and Jon Wallace.
