A RECURRENT knee injury has led to Chad Robinson having his contract with Harlequins Rugby League cancelled by mutual consent.

The 29-year-old Aussie signed from Parramatta Eels last year, but twice underwent surgery during last season.

Quins RL boss Brian McDermott said: "In his short time with us, Chad bought into everything the club is trying to achieve. He is one of those players that put their hands up for work when the going gets tough. Chad and his family return to Australia with the very best wishes of the London Rugby League community."

Meanwhile, Quins RL skipper Rob Purdham is expected to miss the start of the new Super League season with a shoulder injury.
