LONDON TWO NORTH: Letchworth Garden City 28 Ruislip 15
Ruislip suffered a painful defeat as they became the first side to lose to fellow strugglers Letchworth Garden City.
The Maroons, with only two wins to their name from six league games, conceded 28 points to a team that had previously scored only 58 in their opening five fixtures, as they crashed 28-15.
* Ruislip U17s scored 12 tries as a development team defeated a plucky Stevenage side 66-10 in atrocious conditions.
Sam Seymour (3), Hudson Zimba (2), Joe Nolan (2), Louis Flynn, Alfie Lacey, Rob Causer and Harry Oxley were among the scorers while Sam Hainsworth converted three and Stevenage replied with two good scores that exposed some frailties in the Ruislip defence. On Sunday Ruislip travel to Reading Abbey.
* Elliott Byfield, Ian Rowe and Robert Baragawanath all bagged hat-tricks as the U14s beat Amersham & Chiltern 59-0 to record their seventh straight win of the season.
The U14s had not beaten the Buck-inghamshire outfit in four previous encounters but they produced another outstanding display to take the victory.
Ruislip were on top from the first kick which Baragawanath caught and stormed 40 metres upfield before taking a tackle, the Ruislip forwards piled into the ruck and scrum half Tom Nolan sent the ball wide for full back Byfield to score in the corner.
Ruislip never looked back and Ben Edwards and Matt Coker ensured the forwards got their share of the points with a try apiece to go with a conversion each by Jack Knights and Charlie Noon.
Reece Blake and Dean Richardson had fine games once again. On Sunday they travel to Westcombe Park in Kent.
