Harlequins full-back, Mike Brown, has been named England’s QBE Man of the Series following a string of superb performances in the 2013 QBE Internationals.

Rugby fans voted in their thousands on QBErugby.com for the 28-year-old who was the unanimous fans choice and collects £1,000 from QBE to donate to his chosen charity Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby.

Brown’s credentials for this accolade include a thrilling man of the match performance against bitter rivals Australia to help secure a 20-13 victory.

This was backed up by standout performances in the 31-12 defeat of Argentina and against World Champions New Zealand.

Brown now looks to have cemented a permanent claim for England’s No.15 jersey and should play an instrumental role in their development as they make preparations for 2015.

He said: “This is a special award as it is nominated by the supporters of England rugby and I am very grateful to everyone who voted. The support at Twickenham is always amazing and this award has capped a brilliant month for me and the team.

"A number of quality players could have won this award and the success we have had in this year’s QBE Internationals is firmly down to the efforts of the whole squad and I am just pleased to have played my role to help this England team to victory against Australia and Argentina, and also to push the number one team in the world all the way.”
