Ealing Trailfinders have signed international fly-half Shane O'Leary from Irish side Connacht.

O'Leary arrives at Vallis Way on the back of making his debut for Canada in June's 13-0 loss to Georgia in their international tests.

The 24-year-old Cork man now has four caps for Canada and tallied a total of 13 points in their Summer International Series tour, playing alongside fellow Ealing man Djustice Sears Duru.

Having made 22 appearances for Connacht, scoring 43 points, O'Leary joins Ealing in the hope of adding further ability to an already strong area of the squad.

He said: "It’s a great facility and it’s been an easy transition to life here. As soon as I heard that Ealing were interested I was really keen so I’m hugely excited to get involved."

Meanwhile, Director of Rugby Ben Ward is pleased to have added even more quality to his squad for the season, saying: "Shane is a great prospect and we are delighted to have him on board.

"He has plenty of experience and we’re confident that he will be a success in the Championship."
