Ealing Trailfinders fans are being offered a once-in-a-lifetime chance to kick for glory and play for their beloved club at Twickenham.

The title sponsor of the Greene King IPA Championship are running a competition where five lucky winners will live out their ultimate rugby moment by each taking a half time kick at goal during Ealing's home match with London Welsh on March 1.

The best three kickers will be rewarded with a place on a 10-strong touch rugby squad that will represent Ealing Trailfinders at a one-day tournament at Twickenham, the home of England rugby, in May.

The winners, their friends, and some of the club’s representatives will make up the squad, which will come together to take on sides from the other 11 Greene King IPA Championship clubs and some special guest teams.

Ealing Trailfinders director of rugby, Mike Cudmore, said: “Very few of our fans will ever get the chance to live out the dream of converting a kick at Trailfinders Sports Ground, let alone pull on an Ealing Trailfinders jersey and play for us at Twickenham.

"That’s why we expect to be inundated with entries for this competition. Greene King IPA’s support of rugby union, from grassroots to the professional game with the Championship, is brilliant news for the sport.”

All five competition winners will win 48 cans of Greene King IPA to mark their memorable rugby moment at Trailfinders Sports Ground, whether they make it to Twickenham or not.

Greene King brewing and brands marketing director, Dom South, said: “Our role as proud sponsors of the Greene King IPA Championship means we’re able to offer an incredible money-can’t-buy experience for rugby and beer fans alike. We’re really looking forward to the match on March 1 and seeing who will make it to Twickenham.
