LONDON NORTH-WEST THREE LON NEW ZEALAND......15 HAMMERS & FULHAM..15

THIS finale was a microcosm of Hammers' season after they stormed into a lead - and then had to make-do-and-mend to hang on for a draw.

H&F finished eighth out of 12 in the league after a campaign that promised far more than it delivered.

Alistair Lines underlined the season's script when he ran 50 metres in the first half to score under the posts. James Weeks converted, but then a double injury blow forced two flankers to function as centre and wing.

The mish-mash affair allowed the exile Kiwis back into the fray to cancel out a Mark Sweeting touchdown and a penalty - again converted by Weeks.
