London Broncos have signed French international Tony Gigot.

The 23-year-old half back from Avignon made his Super League debut for the Catalan Dragons in 2010.

He went on to play 17 games for them during the season and also made his international debut for France.

The following year he made eight first team appearances for the Dragons as well as playing 12 games for Toulouse Olympique in the Championship.

Gigot is no stranger to the capital having had a short spell with Harlequins RL but didn’t play first team football.

He joined the Avignon Bisons in the French domestic competition for the 2012/13 season but was granted early release at the start of 2013 so he could travel to Australia.

Gigot eventually signed a one year deal with the Cronulla Sharks and he also represented France in the 2013 World Cup

Broncos head coach Tony Rea said: "Tony is a player who has an opportunity to take advantages of his experiences.

"He comes to London following a year in Australia steering the Cronulla Sharks Premiership-winning NSW Cup team and a World Cup campaign with France.

“He has been here before as a young man. We look forward to him working hard and taking on the Super League season."
