There wasn't much to smile about for England fans at the weekend, despite the best efforts of these cheerleaders who dropped into a Twickenham pub.
The Miami Dolphins cheerleaders visited The Cabbage Patch pub, a short stroll from the home of English rugby, last Friday (October 2).
Landlord Stuart Green invited them to get a quick schooling in the arts of rugby and sample some Fuller's London Pride - while firing up fans for the next day's crunch match, with their pompoms and skimpy outfits.
England could have done with their backing the following night as they crashed out of the Rugby World Cup following a thumping at Twickenham by old rivals Australia.
Things didn't go much better for the Dolphins on Sunday, as they succumbed 27-14 to the New York Jets in front of a sell-out Wembley crowd.
The clash was the first of three NFL matches taking place in London during October and November.
