Hillingdon’s Under-19s rugby 7s men grabbed gold in the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games competition in front England Rugby World Cup winner Maggie Alphonsi.
They won the tournament at Barn Elms Sports Centre in Barnes after dominating their group stage matches to reach the semi-final, where they hammered Barking and Dagenham 40-0.
They went on to comfortably won the final against Kingston 28-5.
The tournament took place on March 11 and Hillingdon team manager Chris Jepsen said: “The standard of rugby was very, very good.
"There was a mixed ability in terms of the students performing in this age group but I thought as the tournament progressed the standard was very, very high and it goes to show that rugby is continuing to develop in the capital.”
