Sami Abraham has become the latest Brent District player to sign for a professional football club

He has put pen to paper on a youth contract with Premier League Crystal Palace.

Brent U15s coach Paul O'Connor said: “We are all really proud of Sami, he has worked really hard for this opportunity and I am sure that he will work even harder now to achieve his goal of being a professional footballer.

“He has been on great form this season and has stepped up another level from last year, which has been great to witness. He has a wonderful touch and has a great repertoire of tricks.

“I would define him as a street footballer but with that bit extra that makes the difference; he scores all kinds of goals from all different angles and is completely dedicated to achieving his dream of playing in front of big crowds at big stadiums.

“I know that a number of clubs have been monitoring him. Crystal Palace made the decision to sign him very quickly after seeing him in a couple of training sessions and one game, which is fantastic.

“Sami knows that the real hard work starts right now, and I look forward to watching his progress.”
