UWE Rosler admits Wrexham fully deserved their giant-killing after they put Brentford out of the FA Cup this afternoon.

Jamie Tolley's first half thunderbolt was enough for the Conference leaders to take a 1-0 win away from Griffin Park and take Brentford's place in the third round draw.

And although the Bees improved after the break, boss Rosler conceded a poor first half cost his side the tie.

He said: “We treated it just like another game an did not give the competition the respect it deserves. Wrexham wanted it more than us, all credit to them.

“They played much better than us in the first half. I couldn't tell you one player who was playing up to their normal standard in the first half. Our two central midfielders, who have been outstanding lately, had no control whatsoever.

“We did to them in the second half what they did to us first half, but we didn't take our chances. We started poorly though, and it's my responsibility to find out why.”
