The son of a former World Cup star helped Hounslow Postal lift the Middlesex Midweek Cup for a third year in succession on Wednesday night.
Lubo Geuntchev, son of former Ipswich and Luton midfielder Boncho, who played in the 1994 World Cup for Bulgaria, bagged both goals as Hounslow beat Southgate College 2-0.
It was a stormy final at North Greenford United FC, with three Southgate players getting sent off, as well as Hounslow's Matt Ward.
Hounslow secretary Ashley Hards said: “It was a combination of a fussy ref and the opposition not being able to keep their tempers in check, but we managed to keep our heads to claim another trophy.”
Since being formed five years ago, Hounslow have really racked up the silverware. In their first season, they won Division One of the London Airport Midweek League, and finished County Cup runners-up the following season.
However, the next two seasons saw Hounslow win the treble of the Premier Division, League Cup and County Cup both times – a feat they are on course to repeat again this campaign.
They are in the driving seat in the league once more with three games left, and have a League Cup final against Hayes Postal on April 23.
As well as some of the area's most talented postmen, Hounslow boast a sprinkling of local non-league stars in their ranks, including Geuntchev and Hampton & Richmond Borough's Dean Wells, who was man of the match in the final.
Steve Coultas and Luke Craig have also turned out for the likes of Bedfont, Bedfont Town and Feltham, while former Brentford midfielder Karle Carder Andrews, now at Egham, is a driving force in the midfield.
