KIRK Hudson is set to play his first match for six months in this afternoon's development game with Cardiff City.
The Brentford winger has had a nightmare spell with injuries since his switch from Aldershot Town in 2010, making just four substitute appearances.
Hudson was shipped out on loan to AFC Wimbledon in January, only to have his spell at Kingsmeadow cut short because of a hip problem.
But the 24-year-old is now back to full fitness and spent last week training with League Two outfit Southend.
And he will be given the chance to prove himself against the Bluebirds in the Welsh capital.
Fellow first-teamers Jake Reeves, Michael Spillane and Mike Grella are also in line to feature.
