SAM Wood has returned to Brentford after his loan spell at Rotherham United was cut short.

The winger, who is out of contract in the summer, was a regular for the Millers under former Bees boss Andy Scott after making the switch to the Don Valley in November.

However, the 25-year-old has barely featured since Steve Evans took over at the League Two club earlier this month.

Wood will sit down with Brentford manager Uwe Rosler at the beginning of next week to discuss his future, but is expected to be released when his deal expires at the end of June.

The former Bromley man has made 126 appearances in red and white since his move to Griffin Park in 2008, scoring five goals.
