FOLLOWING a stunning set of results the previous week, the wheels truly fell off at BA Concorde Bowls Club this week.

The disastrous run started with a 109-74 home humbling by Wexham in a Dad’s Army veterans fixture last Thursday, in which a highest winning rink of 22-11 from Les Hancock, John Chatt and June Rawlings made little difference to the outcome.

This was followed by an 89-74 home friendly defeat by Chertsey on Saturday, in which Mike Hart, Ellen Wallis and Dot Lucas’s highest winning rink of 20-13 was scant consolation.

There were no home comforts the following day either as visitors Fassnidge won another friendly, in which there was not even a winning rink, highest or otherwise, for Concorde as they went down 75-43.
