MYLES Weston insists he holds no grudge towards Uwe Rosler over his Brentford exit.

The Gillingham winger made 129 appearances during his three-year stay at Griffin Park, scoring 14 goals, before his switch to Priestfield in 2012.

Weston faces his former club for the first time today, but insists he's got nothing to prove.

He said: “I enjoyed my time at Brentford but didn't play as much as I would've liked in my third year and felt I had to leave to get regular football.

“It was nothing personal. I got on well with the manager and there was no bad feeling.

“I didn't leave on bad terms and still have a lot of friends at the club.

“All I'm concentrating on now is doing my best for Gillingham. I've got nothing to prove to anyone.”

Weston has been exchanging Twitter messages with Bees defender Shaleum Logan ahead of the clash.

But the 25-year-old insists the friendly rivalry with go out of the window when they cross the white line.

He added: “I've been trying to get in his head and told him to 'be ready'.

“We always had banter when I was at Brentford but that will change once the whistle blows.”
