MYLES Weston left Notts County for Brentford to improve as a player.

The Bees made an offer for the 21-year-old left-winger, which was turned down by the Magpies.

Notts then told Brentford their valuation, which was far from the figure Bees boss Andy Scott had in mind, and the deal is set to go to a tribunal.

And Scott reckons he holds the ace card as Weston was desperate for a move to west London.

Scott said: “Myles felt he had stagnated at Notts County, and he feels we can improve him and make him the player he's got the ability to be.

“But he is far from the finished article, which is why we didn't agree with Notts County's valuation.”

The former Charlton youngster has agreed terms with Brentford after turning down a new three-year deal with County.
