Harrow Weald Ladies 2nd team got the season off to a great start with an 18-6 win away to Harrow.
Unfortunately, for Harrow, one of their players sustained an injury, and so their third pair had to forfeit all of their sets.
Harrow Weald's new pairing of June Copplestone and June Uduehi worked very well together, winning all their sets fairly comfortably.
Second pair, Gay S'haba and Yvette Bilton, won two of their three sets.
The third pair, Sheila Lynch and Georgia Cotsford, won one of the two sets which they played (their other two sets were walkovers due to the injury). So, all in all, this a very positive start for Harrow Weald.
By contrast, Harrow Weald Ladies 1st team sustained an injury to Cecilia Jones, one of their strongest players, and this resulted in a 16-8 defeat at Eastcote.
