LEE Hodson admits his future's up in the air after returning to Watford following his loan spell at Brentford.

The Northern Ireland international made 18 appearances for the Bees since making the switch to Griffin Park in November.

Hodson saw a permanent move to TW8 fall through on the final day of the January transfer window, but remained in west London on loan for the rest of the campaign.

However, the 21-year-old has now returned to Vicarage Road, where he still has 12 months remaining on his contract.

And the Hornets academy graduate plans to sit down with boss Gianfranco Zola and thrash out his future.

He said: “I've still got another year there, so I'll go back in the summer and see what they have planned for me.

“I'm keeping my options open at the moment. I'll take things as they come and see how pre-season goes with Watford.

“I played three or four games earlier in the season and then a lot of loanees came in, which forced me down the pecking order.

“Zola was happy for me to go out and get games. I've had a text from him now and then to check how I'm doing, so I know he's been keeping tabs on my progress.”
