COACH Junior Williams was a disappointed man after his Westminster Warriors team failed to perform in their most important match of the season on Saturday.

The Kensal Rise team was there in person - but not in spirit, and Williams was left to ponder what might have been, following the quarter-final defeat. He said: "Edmonton were more aggressive than us - they wanted it more, which is surprising and disappointing."

The season came to a juddering halt at the final hooter, but four minutes before, Warriors had got back to within nine after being 22 points down at the break. The north Londoners then drained three massive three-pointers to put out Westminster's fire.

Their coach refused to blame a long season, saying: "In fact, one of the best players on Saturday was Marvin Addy, who's had a lot of court time for us. Had everyone played like Damian Harris as well - he truly was a Warrior for us out there - then we would be looking forward to a semi-final this weekend."
