BRITISH Airways chief executive Willie Walsh was happy to put the cares of the troubled airline to one side for a short while when he presented Concorde Juniors with their end-of-season prizes.
The awards were handed to the four teams the club enters into the Hayes & Harlington League.
The U11 players of the year (PoY) were Akash Jassal and Gurtaran Tiwana, with Oliver Bray the top scorer and Adam Smith the most improved player.
For the U9As Lesa Khan was player of the year, with Shaan Chopra and Umar Khan sharing top scorer awards and Rohan Panesar gaining the most improved player accolade.
The U9 B winners were Rajvir Sahota (PoY), Umair Khan (top scorer) and Romil Gounder (most improved). U14 winners were Sahib Purewal (PoY), Harjinder Brar (top scorer) and Amardeep Bhatia (most improved).
Jas Jassal, the club's vice-chairman, said: "It was wonderful to have Willie attend.
"He was great with the kids, is passionate about football and received a warm reception from all the parents.
"In the end it was a fitting finale to what has been an outstanding season for the BA section." ..SUPL:
