HANWORTH Villa are asking for fans to vote for them in droves to win a national giant-killing award – and win a day out at the FA Cup Final for their players.

The FA this week launched their Ronnie Radford Award, named after the Hereford striker whose goal helped knock out Newcastle in 1972, to find the biggest giant-killer in this week's competition.

Combined Counties Premier side have been nominated for knocking out Ryman Premier Division side Aveley, from two levels above them, in the qualifying rounds.

Villa went on to pull off another giant-killing by knocking out Slough Town too before finally bowing out in the fourth and final qualifying round – the furthest a Combined Counties League side has ever gone.

The four other contenders are Swindon Town for knocking out Wigan Athletic; Wrexham for putting out Brentford; Stourbridge for slaying Plymouth Argyle and Redbridge for downing Ebbsfleet.
