High Wycombe 2nd XI 160 all out HAREFIELD 161-5

Harefield won by five wickets

DOUG King and Mulelki Nkala starred as Harefield eased to victory against High Wycombe on Saturday.

King's 6-29 helped restrict Wycombe to 160 in their innings.

In reply, Harefield stalwart Richard McLeod carried his bat for 58 not out, but Zimbabwean Nkala's unbeaten 68 from 37 balls carried them home.

Finchley 239-7 EASTCOTE 206-8 Losing draw for Eastcote TOM Scollay salvaged a share of the points as Eastcote drew at Finchley on Saturday.

Chasing a target of 239, Scollay smashed 88 to earn a draw and one valuable championship point.

Scollay had earlier taken a share of the wickets as Finchley declared on 239-7 in 60 overs. In reply, Scollay and Jivan Lotay (20) got them off to a flying start.

But the only other notable scorers were Anand Lotay (22) and Chris Coleman (20), and they had to settle for a draw.

NICK Nicholson's 83 couldn't prevent Northwood's second string slipping to defeat to Bayford and Hertford on Saturday.

After losing one of their openers for the first ball of the match, Nicholson's haul of runs helped them to a decent total of 140.

But Bayford were never really in trouble, although Ram Nandiraju and Iyazz Shariff took two wickets apiece, they got home in 36.4 overs.

Elsewhere, the thirds lost their top-of-the-table clash against Codicote.

Poor batting let Northwood down, with the late arriving Mike Blumberg (31) and all-rounder Paul Reeve (23) the only ones to score any meaningful runs as they were bowled out for 108 in 46 overs.

In reply, Reeve Kirk, Shiva Nammikanti and the evergreen Reeve took two wickets each before Codicote got home with four wickets to spare.
