HAYES and Yeading are bracing themselves for an official approach from Cardiff City for youngster Tom Collins.

The 19-year-old has been the subject of interest from the Championship club for a while and it is just a matter of whether the Carling Cup finalists follow-up with a firm offer before the transfer window closes.

Collins has shown rich potential at Hayes and Yeading since being shown the door by Stevenage last summer and has scored eight goals in the Conference this season, despite making just 14 starts.
