PHIL Babb is taking a look at a French centre-half who was released by Paris Saint-Germain.

The Hayes & Yeading manager is looking to bring in some cover for defensive duo Charlie Wassmer and Dean Inman for the long season ahead.

That cover could be provided by the former PSG youngster, who represented the French giant’s reserves, as he heads to the UK to carve out a career in the English game.

The identity of the centre-back is unknown, however Babb has confirmed he is considering adding to his options in the heart of the United defence.

Babb said: “Charlie and Dean were exceptional at the weekend. It’s not a case of them doing badly, it’s a case of if one of them key players gets injured then who can we bring in. I’m looking for a bit of experience and to add competition for places.

“The squad are getting used to each other and with each performance it gets a little bit better and you can see that. Even though the results haven’t been what we’d wanted, we could argue that we could’ve won all five games based on chances.”

Seb Schoburgh’s first goal for Hayes & Yeading sealed the three points at Dover on Saturday.
