HAYES and Yeading suffered last-minute heartbreak at Tamworth tonight.

Substitute Kyle Patterson's goal sunk Nas Bashir's men right at the death and handed them their second away defeat in four days after their 3-1 defeat at Barrow on Saturday.

It had all looked so promising for the visitors when Louie Soares (pictured) put them ahead in the 15th minute from the penalty spot after Francino Francis was penalised for a foul on Pierre Joseph-Dubois.

That was the way it stayed going into half-time and the visitors frustrated the Lambs until just seven minutes from time when Kieron St Aimie levelled after Hayes and Yeading failed to clear a corner.

The visitors looked set to take a creditable point, but there was a sting in the tail for Hayes and Yeading right at the end when Patterson tucked home a Danny Thomas cross from six yards for a late winner.
