A DOUBLE from Louie Soares helped Hayes and Yeading secure their first away victory of the season in stunning style at Nene Park tonight.
The ex-Aldershot midfielder (pictured) scored twice and set-up another in an eight-goal thriller that saw Kettering reduced to nine men in injury-time with both Moses Ashikodi and Jean-Paul Marna given their marching orders.
Youngster Tom Collins, who sparked Hayes and Yeading's admirable second-half fightback against Gateshead on Saturday, scored his second goal for the club in the seventh minute.
Soares made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after Collins was fouled in the area by Laurie Walker and Pierre Joseph-Dubois put Hayes and Yeading three up in just the 22nd minute after getting on the end of a Mark Bentley cross.
Though Ashikodi got one back for Kettering before the break, that never affected Hayes and Yeading's attacking approach after the break and that man Soares showed his class once again by setting up Hector Mackie to make it 4-1.
Adam Cunnington got another one back for the hosts, but Soares ended any hopes of a home fightback by making it 5-2 seven minutes from time.
Marna's injury-time strike mattered little and he was sent off for violent conduct shortly afterwards with Ashikodi also red-carded for a second booking as the match ended in a storm of controversy at Nene Park.
