HAYES and Yeading boss Nas Bashir has admitted that more players are set to leave the club after the departure of striker Nathan Elder.

Ex-AFC Wimbledon striker Elder (pictured) has left Hayes and Yeading with the blessing of Bashir to try his luck at Hereford United.

But Bashir says that he is still looking to trim his squad in order to bring in players that are good enough for Blue Square Premier level.

"We have got to the stage now when we have given a lot of chances to players," he said. "Myself and the staff here will review one or two players and possibly they are not good enough for this level.

"We have kept the faith and given them chances and maybe it is case that it will not work for them.

"Nathan has gone to Hereford. He loved what we were doing here, but he had the opportunity to get back into the league and good luck to him."

Elder joined Hayes and Yeading in August after being released by Shrewsbury Town, but he made only a few substitute appearances as he made his comeback from a serious knee injury.
