NAS Bashir believes tomorrow's FA Cup tie is just what his Hayes and Yeading side needs after a barren run in the league.

United have slipped to 20th in the Blue Square Premier after three successive defeats and they face a Cambridge United side that have made a promising start to the season as they are currently fifth in the table.

But Bashir says the fourth qualifying round tie at Kingfield will be a welcome distraction for his side, who suffered an unlucky 2-1 league defeat at the Abbey Stadium earlier this season.

"I am looking forward to Saturday as it takes a bit of pressure off us in the league," he said. "Hopefully, we will put in a big performance. It is a home draw and that is the most important thing. We played them away in a game they were lucky to get three points from and I think they will be more wary of us than we are of them."

Bashir could have his forward options strengthened with international clearance expected to come through from Ghana to allow striker Julian Owusu to be in Saturday's squad and Pierre Joseph-Dubois should shake off a knock in time to play.
