A heart-stopping Hammersmith Darts Division One Singles final kept everybody on the edge of their seats this week.
After two weeks of intense play, it all came down to Diogo Portela and Martin Ekis battling for the overall crown.
The latter pulled back from 2-0 down to level the tie, but just when the arrows were getting sweaty in Portela’s hand, he got a grip to clinch the all important fifth game and the title.
In regular league action, Chiswick Society A played host to West London Deaf in Division Two, and came out victorious winning 10-3.
The Angels and The Sinners played the other Div Two catch-up game.
Angels were appropriately soaring at the summit, but in the surprise of the season so far, the bad boys had their way as Sinners blotted Angels unblemished record with an 8-5 win that saw them climb within three points of the top, and with a game in hand.
