TWO teams hit the headlines this week for the wrong reasons in the Hammersmith Pool League.
Both Rileys West 12 B and O'Donoghue's B were expelled for three no-shows during the season, and, as a result, their wins and defeats were expunged from the table.
But in the only game played in the World Rules Division, Rileys West Sands' win over Leamington B had no further bearing on the championship shake-up.
In Division One of the English Pool Association League (EPA), it was a week of nail-biting draws. The games involving Laurie Arms, Norman Arms, O'Donoghue's A, Tournament, Parish A and B teams all incredibly finished 6-6.
In the other matches, there were wins for Connolly's, White Horse and Orchard Tavern.
In Old EPA Division Two, Wilton Arms clinched the league with a resounding 11-1 defeat of West London Deaf that leaves them nine points clear with three games left.
The other winner was Stag, but Springbok A and B's games against St Augustine's Saints and Earl of Derby also ended in 6-6 stalemates.
