THE best boxer Dale Youth had on show last Sunday isn't even allowed to fight a proper contest.

Tiny Jake Fallon is a mere 26kilos, and although the 11-year-old from Dale Youth Club in North Kensington literally ran rings around Jay French from Bushey in a 'skills' contest - the limit for all juniors in an authorised bout is to weigh another two kilos at least.

"Jake's stayed the same weight for the last six months," said trainer Steve Newland. "But he's got fantastic skills and looks a million dollars - but he will need a bit more weight."

The skills fight at the Middlesex Home Counties Championships didn't have an official result - but Dale were left wondering who did made the controversial decisions that saw their three other boxers down and out.

Eddie McDonough was beaten unanimously by Francis Barrett - son of the famous 1996 Irish Olympian. And there were also shock unanimous reversals for Alfie Smith and Miram Sabir at the Hayes Working Men's Club.
