LEADING scorer Gary Alexander has left Brentford to join Crawley Town on loan for the rest of the season.

Alexander, who has scored 14 goals this season, was out of contract in the summer and had stalled on signing a new deal at Griffin Park.

And boss Uwe Rosler has allowed the former Millwall frontman to make the switch to the Broadfield Stadium to help Crawley's promotion bid.

The 32-year-old, who has netted 26 goals in 77 games for the Bees since his move to TW8 in 2010, is expected to make the permanent switch to the Sussex side in the summer.
