BEN Strevens is out to continue his scoring spree tonight against the side who tried to sign him earlier this year.

Brentford travel to Wycombe Wanderers hoping to extend their four-match unbeaten run.

Hotshot Strevens scored his first Bees goal against Gateshead last week, then opened his account in League One in Saturday's draw with Walsall.

But the 29-year-old could easily have been lining up against Brentford had he decided to switch to Adams Park in January.

The Chairboys had a bid turned down for the striker while he was at Dagenham in the transfer window.

But Strevens says it was his decision, not Dagenham's, to snub Wanderers.

He said: "I had a great relationship with Daggers boss John Still. He pulled me in and said 'if you want to go, I'll accept the bid', but it wouldn't have been fair for me to leave in the position we were in.

"I was enjoying myself at Dagenham and I thought we could've gone up ourselves. I've got no regrets.

"Wycombe were on a bad run, but the players they brought in done well, so it's probably best they didn't sign me or they might not have gone up!"

Loanees Wojciech Szczesny and Pim Balkestein should keep their places after making their debuts against Walsall.

But Myles Weston will miss out with a hamstring injury he picked up in the 1-1 draw against the Saddlers.

Sam Saunders and Carl Cort will both be pushing for recalls after sitting out Saturday's game.
