RUGBY LEAGUE: WEST London Sharks crashed 24-8 at home to National Conference South Premier title rivals South London Storm on Saturday.

Sharks started the day one place behind leaders Storm but with a game in hand, so all is not lost despite the defeat at Grasshoppers RFC in Osterley.

Having conceded two early tries, Sharks were right back in it on the 20-minute mark, when Josh Aomarere forced his way over in the corner.

But three more tries saw the visitors storm ahead, although Tom Howden pulled another back to make it 20-8 at half-time.

The only try after the break came from Storm. Not even a man-of-the-match display from Donny Lam could help Sharks find a way back.

However, Sharks' Seconds gained revenge by beating Storm's Seconds 36-34, while Sharks Ladies thrashed Copeland Wildcats 58-14. ..SUPL:
