That comes in the form of The Stockley Park 10k fun run, on Sunday, May 20.
It serves as a great warm-up for people training for longer runs, and is a good way of getting back to sanity if you have completed the London Marathon or if you plan another, longer race and fancy a bit of preparation.
Or you might want to raise some much-needed cash for your favourite charity.
The course is interesting and quick, a mixture of footpaths, trails and wide, mainly traffic-free roads, taking in Stockley Country Park. It has a spectator-friendly start and finish, with refreshments available and good on-site parking and transport links.
Everyone who finishes will get a medal, and there are s100 vouchers for the first male and female finishers, trophies for the first three men and women, plus veteran winners medals.
There are team medals and prizes of a bottle of wine for each member of the winning team. Entry costs £14 in advance or £17on the day for affiliated runners, or £16/£19 for unaffiliated.
