AFC WIMBLEDON boss Neal Ardley hailed Sammy Moore, Michael Smith and Ross Worner after the star trio swept aside Fleetwood Town.

Smith netted Wimbledon's second goal in this afternoon's 2-0 win over the Cod Army while Moore was dominant in the middle of the park and Worner kept a clean sheet in the Dons goal.

Ardley described the victory as the best performance he has seen since his arrival as manager and picked out the trio for special praise after the triumph.

“He [Smith] was unplayable against an experienced defender like Roberts,” said Ardley. “That was as complete a performance as I've seen in a long time.

“I thought Sammy Moore in midfield was excellent too. I don't normally single people out and a lot of the boys had good games, but I said in there that Ross deserves credit and Michael Smith and Sammy Moore too.”

Dons will be hoping for more of the same when they travel to Griffin Park to take on Brentford on Tuesday.
