ROBERTO Di Matteo says defeat to Tottenham tomorrow could mean the end of Chelsea's battle for Champions League qualification.
The Blues trail their London rivals by five points ahead of the clash at Stamford Bridge .
Defeat would extend that to eight points, and Di Matteo is clear what that could mean.
He said: “Now the team is fighting for fourth spot for the Champions League for next season, and we all understand importance of that.
“We want to take advantage of or home form and our supporters: a win would give us a big big lift. If we lose I think it will be very difficult.
“Our home form is very good – we haven't lost a game yet in 2012. We'd like that to continue.”
