TWO members of the Hillingdon Slipstreamers youth cycling team have been selected to join British Cycling's Talent Team.

Dan Maslin and Natalie Hill have attended the club's regular Saturday morning sessions at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit, in Springfield Road, Hayes, for several years, and competed in various race series at the venue.

The Talent Team is the first step for young racing cyclists who have aspirations to compete at the highest level, and opens up opportunities to be coached by top professionals and to race across the country. Both Slipstreamers made strong claims for a place on the team, with Maslin finishing the season as Britain's top-ranked U14 cyclist and national road and track champion, while Hill was ranked third-best U16 girl.

However, with just 35 places available in the Talent Team, the pair had to come through a rigorous selection process at a training camp a few weeks earlier to seal their spots.
