KARLEY Mann led the way with a magnificent seven gold medals out of a superb 54 of all colours for Hillingdon Swimming Club at the London Youth and Age Group Championships.

The 13-year-old claimed first place in the British Age Group points table, posting a National Qualifying Time in the process, of 17mins 55.14secs in the 1500m freestyle.

Squad coaches were delighted with the success at the event in Ealing, particularly from some of the younger members which augurs well for the future.

Sarah Procter, 12, also attained her first ever NQT of 1.04.73 in the 100m freestyle and 13-year-old Adam Wood achieved his second NQT in the 1500m freestyle with a time of 18.07.11 in the 1500m freestyle.

The icing on the cake was added by two of the girls' relay teams who also registered NQTs.

Mann, Procter, Lucy Taplin and Jaycee Sibley qualified with 4.20.47 in the 400m freestyle and Fiona McAndrew replaced Taplin to join the other three in qualifying in the 400m medley with 4.55.32.

The other medal winners were: Francesca Marr (four gold, silver), Sarah Harrington (gold, two silver and fifth in the 11-year-old girls BAGCAT table), Sophie Wilson (three silver, two bronze(, Kate Wilson (silver, three bronze and fourth in the girls 11-year-old BAGCAT table), Bethany Ellison-Perrett (bronze), Adam Wood (gold, two silver, bronze and third in the 13-year-old boys BAGCAT table), Oliver Green (gold, silver,bronze), Adam Prunty (gold, three bronze and fourth in the 12-year-old boys BAGCAT table), George Prunty (gold, bronze and second in the 10-year-old boys BAGCAT table, Danny Nelson (gold), Louis South (two silver, two bronze and fourth in the 10-year-old boys BAGCAT table), Luke Spain (silver,bronze), Fravash Bilimoria (silver,bronze and fourth in the 11-year-old boys BAGCAT table), Warren Beriche (silver), Faisal Bhatti (two bronze) and Leon Beriche (two bronze).

The club's relay teams also won three silver and four bronze medals to under-line a very successful championships for Hillingdon, ahead of the forthcoming National Age Group Championships and Plymouth Meet.
