SAM Saunders is ready to commit his long-term future to Brentford.

The Bees winger has been one of the star performers this term, and has been offered a new contract at Griffin Park , as we exclusively revealed last week.

Saunders is keen to extend his stay in west London, and has recently moved to the area to be closer to the Osterley-based training ground.

He said: “We've just started speaking. I've moved over here, I'm committed to the club and enjoying my football. Hopefully we can get something sorted.

“I'm 28 now, so it's a big decision for myself. Talks are only in the early stages, but I would like to stay as long as possible. I feel I've got a good few years to give after a slow start to my time at Brentford.

“Since we've started playing football over the past year I feel I've shown everyone what I can do and why I was successful at previous clubs.

“It's frustrating being good enough and not being able to show everyone but I feel now I've got my chance I've let my feet do the talking.”
