BRENTFORD will wait until the dust has settled from their defeat at Bradford City before deciding whether to appeal David Button’s red card.

Button was dismissed for a first-half clash with Nakhi Wells and the 10-man Bees were unable to cope as the Bantams ran out 4-0 winners this afternoon.

Bees manager Uwe Rosler felt Button’s sending off was the turning point and will examine the video evidence of the incident as he weighs up his options.

He said: “For me, it was not a red card. David decided to come. He played the ball. The ball definitely changed direction. So for me, it was a very harsh decision. It decided the game.

“I’ve not decided [whether to appeal the card]. We don’t have to decide that today. We’ll let the emotions settle, have a good look at it from all sorts of angles and then see what we have to do.

“We have to take that defeat with grace. We can’t make any excuses. Obviously the red card was a harsh decision but after that we look at ourselves and we’re not blaming anyone else.”

Rosler’s side must pick themselves up for another long away trip to Tranmere next weekend.
