UWE Rosler has challenged his Brentford players to seize their second chance at promotion ahead of Sunday's play-off final against Yeovil Town at Wembley.
Marcello Trotta's last-gasp penalty miss on the final day of the season saw Bees blow their automatic promotion hopes and see Doncaster go up at their expense.
However, Brentford have earned another bite of the cherry following their dramatic play-off semi-final win over Swindon on penalties.
And boss Rosler has urged his side to grab the chance with both hands as they bid to seal a place in the Championship.
He said: “This is a winner-takes-all shootout. We've been there before and we've missed out, but that experience will help the players on Sunday.
“Everyone knows what's at stake. We have worked really hard to get this second chance. A lot of people wrote us off after we missed out on automatic promotion, so we have come a long way.
“But the job's not done. We are highly-motivated to finish it off.”
Brentford's squad visited Wembley this week ahead of the big day, and Rosler is confident his youngsters won't freeze in front of more than 40,000 fans in north-west London.
“We have a very young squad, many of whom have never played there, so we wanted to make sure they weren't overwhelmed on the day," said the German manager.
“We have shown this season that the team is use to performing in big games. But we've tried to focus on the performance, not the occasion.”
Yeovil have already beaten the Bees twice this season, winning 3-1 at Griffin Park in August before a 3-0 victory at Huish Park in February.
But Rosler added: “Although we lost both games, we dominated for the first half an hour at their place but couldn't score.
“I have seen Yeovil six or seven times, so we've got a good picture of how they will play.
“They are a strong team with a good work ethic, who usually set up in a 4-4-2 formation.
“They have mobile strikers who can hurt us, and the top scorer in the league.
“There's nothing between the teams. It will come down to whichever side holds their nerve and sticks to the game plan on the day.”
