UWE Rosler has rubbished rumours linking him with Swindon Town shot-stopper Wes Foderingham .

Reports this morning suggested the Bees had asked about the former Fulham keeper, only to sign Charlton's David Button this afternoon instead.

Button made his debut in the 3-2 victory over Premier League new boys Cardiff City and will start against Port Vale on Saturday.

However, Brentford boss Rosler has hit out at suggestions that the 24-year-old wasn't his first choice.

He said: “It's very strange that some clubs are using Brentford for the wrong reasons to try and create momentum around their players.

“We have never spoken to or enquired about another goalkeeper. We didn't make a bid or financial suggestions for anyone else.

“The only person we spoke to was David. That deal went smoothly.

“What other clubs and newspapers have written to create momentum around their assets are definitely a lie.”
