UWE Rosler has challenged Harry Forrester to come back firing on all cylinders in pre-season training.

The former Aston Villa youngster has endured a difficult first season at Griffin Park , having been restricted to just seven starts and 12 substitute appearances.

Forrester was dogged by a hamstring problem in the first half of the season and also suffered a thigh injury in the new year.

But the 21-year-old is back to fitness and has ended the season on a high with a string of impressive performances.

And Bees boss Rosler wants the winger flying out of the traps next season.

He said: “I told Harry when we come back from holiday I expect him to be in the top six in the bleep test.

“When he achieves that he will have a good season. If he finishes 21 st like he did last year, then it will be difficult.

“He is such a talent but needs to improve his fitness and general condition.

“We played him and then he would be out for a week or two. He never got the rhythm and the fitness required to play 90 minutes.

“He's got the right mindset but needs some guidance. He's very ambitious and sometimes a little impatient but we'll get him there as long as he understands you've got to earn the right to play.

“That means you have to be extremely fit these days and that's his biggest challenge.”
